My name is Chris. I'm a personal trainer based in a private studio in West Bridgford and in Paradigm Gym in Colwick.  


At 43 years old and with over a decade of experience, I've worked with clients across a wide spectrum of ages and fitness levels, helping them build confidence, strength, and fitness safely.


 I've trained:

  • Clients from 12 to 80 years of age.
  • Individuals recovering from strokes and heart attacks.
  • Clients managing health conditions and injuries such as lupus, diabetes, osteoporosis, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, and back issues, 
  • From complete beginners to competitive athletes.
  • Clients are dealing with obesity, underweight issues, and severe musculoskeletal pain.
  • Individuals recovering from hip and knee replacement and other surgeries. 
  • Competitive athletes (Hyrox, football, rugby, ice skating)


Whether you're just starting your fitness journey, returning from an injury, striving to improve your athletic performance, or looking to enhance your strength, mobility, and quality of life as you age, I offer personalised training programs tailored to your specific needs. The majority of people who start with me are beginners over 45; I currently have over 8 clients over 60.

​Paradigm Gym is an extremely friendly, supportive gym. It's never too busy. If you train during the day, it's not unusual to see a couple of other people training, and you rarely have to wait for equipment. It's perfect for beginners.

How to get started?
Step 1: Book a Free Consultation
Please contact me through the contact form below, text, or call me on 07778768761. We will then book a consultation at a time that suits you.

Step 2: Consultation
You’ll come down to the studio or gym to have a look around and to chat about what you want to achieve. You’ll see that it’s a supportive and friendly environment.  I'll explain how I work and what you should expect from personal training. We’ll chat through your goals, previous exercise and injury history, and I’ll gather all the information I need to put together a sensible, realistic plan tailored to you.

There will be no pressure or hard sell. Just a casual chat about how I can help you.


Step 3: Your First Session
You won’t be asked to do anything you’re not capable of doing, or anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. If you’re new to training, the first session will feel fairly easy. It will be focused on seeing how you move and learning how to do the exercises correctly. You won’t be too sore that it has an impact on your daily life. You’ll be given full support and a plan for any training you receive during personal training sessions and for your solo sessions.

What's Included?

  • 1-2-1 Sessions: I’ll teach you how to do each exercise correctly and how to use the equipment. I’ll also teach you about all parts of training so you can progress towards your goals.
  • Full Workout Plan: You’ll get a customised training program based on your goals and needs. Every client is given their training plan designed for them, and none of my clients are given the same program. You'll know exactly what you'll be doing before your sessions with me, and when you're training on your own. You'll learn how to do every lift safely and effectively. I’ll make adjustments to your program as you need them.
  • Support 7 Days a WeekYou can contact me at any time for support or if you have any questions. If you become a member at the gym, you'll see me around the gym.
  • Access to my Training App: You'll have access to my training app, where you can track all things related to your training, nutrition, and lifestyle.
  • Help with your Nutrition:  If you need it, I’ll set you nutrition targets which can be tracked through the training app. The nutrition side of it is often where people struggle. If this is the case with you, I can help you.
  • Daily Lifestyle Habits Targets: We’ll set lifestyle habit targets for you that will be tracked on your app. These could be things like how much sleep you get, how much water you drink, or how many steps you need to do. The stuff outside the gym is just as important as the workouts
  • ​​​​A Daily and Weekly Check-In: These are done in the app. This gives you a chance to let me know how you’re getting on and any problems you’re having. I’ll always respond and help come up with a solution. You won’t be left alone outside of your sessions. During the weekly check-in, we’ll look at everything training and lifestyle-related. Personal training isn’t just about your training.
