What makes RWF different from other gyms?
Once people start training at RWF, it's common to hear comments about how different it is compared to other gyms.
So what makes Real World Fitness different from other gyms?
1) We have a zero tolerance approach to intimidation, insults or belligerent swearing. Members will be told, and will be asked to leave and have memberships terminated if they repeatedly demonstrate this kind of behaviour. We don’t allow idiots, drug-users and gangs of kids to train here. Everyone is friendly here.
2) Kids and dogs are more than welcome, and we encourage members to bring them to the gym. It’s very common. We have a nice sofa area they can sit, and they often play on their tablets, or the Playstation that’s here. The other day I was watching Peppa Pig with two a members children! You can have the WiFi code as well if needed. Getting to the gym when you have kids shouldn’t a problem when you train here.
3) We are the only gym in Nottingham that has a zero tolerance to performance drugs. We have turned away people who wanted to join who were using them. We want this to be a place where everyone is comfortable to train, and not just serious lifters.
4) You won’t have to wait for the equipment like most gyms. The gym is limited to 100 members, so even at peak times it’s never crowded, and in all the time I’ve trained, or trained others I’ve never had to wait for equipment.
5) Free coffee for all members!
These policies are some of the reasons that Real World Fitness is such a non-intimidating gym for new members, and why we have such a high ratio of women training here compared to other weight lifting gyms.
