Chris has helped me hugely I have spent 2 years of being scared of being able to work out at the gym to a frozen shoulder. I am now becoming a more regular goer and noticed a huge improvement not just in my mobility but also my overall fitness and confidence. Chris’ Monday morning circuits are full of encouragement and a great way to start the week. RWF has a great atmosphere, a team spirit, inspiring trainers and clients, wonderful free coffee, and the occasional free puppy (but only for temporary cuddles). There’s always plenty of equipment available, and importantly, it’s completely friendly to, and unintimidating for, women. A really genuine, friendly bunch of people in a really genuine gym with lots of expertise to draw on should you need it. Karl
Chris is a great trainer. II came to Chris after about a year out from the gym and he was brilliant. In 6 weeks we were down over 10lbs, he'd sorted my form for my Bench, Squat and Deadlift, and had me lifting heavier than I ever had before. Top, top guy. Can't recommend enough. |

Let me start off by saying that a 5 star system cannot even begin to do justice to the service this personal trainer provides. Chris Adams is one of the best I have had the pleasure of working with. Being a medical professional working unpredictable hours the most challenging aspect of working-out is actually making it to the gym. When I first met with Chris to explain my routine he assured me that he would do whatever he could do accommodate me and he absolutely delivered. Our programme was such that he went completely over and beyond to help me achieve my goal whether this was to stay late and keep the gym open until I finished my shift or begin at the crack of dawn in order for me to get a PT session in prior to work. He has an individualised approach to each of his clients where other PTs tend to have a more generic approach with only minor variations. He will also look into your meal plans/ caloric intake, rest periods and formulate workouts around any injuries/limitations one may have. As you could imagine to achieve such a level, a trainer needs to have a good grasp on physiology, anatomy, kinesthetics etc. Despite everything mentioned above on of the most important aspects for me personally was that he does not do this with any acquisitive intentions instead only for the betterment of his client which is an unique quality. To future prospective clients: do not let the haircut fool you Chris is kind, supportive, generous and will go out of his way to help you reach your lifestyle/weight-loss goals, no matter how many professional/amateur clients he has in his portfolio ( ideal for doctors and surgeons 😉) Chris Adams is truly one of a kind. Chris has been my PT instructor for the last few months. I have 2 PT sessions a week and train on my own one other day in the week. Chris has put together programmes for me for when I train with him and also separate programmes for when I train on my own. As I have a low boredom threashhold I like variety, so as part of my PT sessions with Chris I also box, this is a great way to relieve stress! I have to say Chris is a great motivator aswell as a task master, every session he pushes me to increase the weights I am lifting and/or the number of reps per set. He is very encouraging and it is a pleasure training with him. I actually cannot believe I never "dread" going to the gym anymore as I really enjoy the challenge. Would definitely recommend both Chris and RWF Gym. Dudley Pound
As a retired person I wanted to improve my flexibility and movement. Chris offered a range of exercises on a one to one personal trainer arrangement which I took up and have two, one hour sessions a week. After 20 sessions my posture is vastly improved, my personal confidence has improved and I am moving, standing and walking so much better than before. Chris has been a great find and I would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone else. In fact my wife now also comes and Chris is working on her improved stamina requirement. Thanks Chris! |
